Mississippi authorities seize 1,000 pounds of marijuana
According to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), officers with the Mississippi Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division (CTED) stopped a commercial vehicle on Interstate 20 in Lauderdale County for an inspection on September 11, 2025.
During the stop, officers said they discovered more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana hidden within the load inside the trailer. The driver, Zhitoa Wang, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Authorities said the truck and multiple electronic devices were also seized.
The investigation is ongoing.
