Baxter County sales tax collections continue to grow; up over 6% on year


The Baxter County Treasurer is reporting that county sales tax collections are continuing to see growth both monthly and for the year.
March’s figures were released Friday and show the county was up $25,072 or nearly 5 percent over the same time last year for a total of $469,215. Year to date the county is up 6 percent or $154,055 beating projections of 4.4 percent. The County Jail tax is up on the year $67,623.
The city of Mountain Home collected a total of $253,825 for the month of March and Gassville collected $42,967. Cotter collected $17,535, Norfork collected $9,203 and Lakeview collect $15,338.
