Doylestown contractor wanted in alleged K home improvement scam
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (WPHL) — Police are currently searching for a home improvement contractor who allegedly scammed customers out of more than $80,000 for work that was never completed.

46-year-old John Paoletti, owner of Choice Remodeling and Restoration based in Delaware, is under investigation after multiple homeowners reported issues with the company’s services.

According to investigators, after being contacted for home repairs, Paoletti allegedly collected large upfront payments but failed to complete, or even begin, the promised work.

Officials also say that in one case, when a customer demanded a refund, they were reportedly told they would only receive their money back if they agreed not to press charges.

Anthony DiMattia said he was scammed out of more than $17,000 he stated “He kept pushing things back and then eventually stopped returning our calls and disappeared,”

Although based in Delaware court documents show that all the alleged fraud incidents took place in Morrisville, Pa. In 2023 Paoletti was said to have scammed one of his customers victims of $10,774.47. In 2024 two more people fell victim to the scam, one for $46,000 and another for $12,500.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Paoletti or may have been a victim of his scams to contact Police.
