Hot, humid, and quieter today

The hot and humid weather rolls on for Acadiana today but rain chances will be much lower compared to yesterday. A warm morning is followed by a hot afternoon with highs reaching the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. The heat index will be in the mid 90s during the hottest part of the day.

Hot and breezy weather is in the forecast Saturday. Scattered showers and storms are still looking likely on Sunday. Severe weather is not expected but a few storms on Sunday could produce heavy rains and gusty winds. The additional clouds and rainfall will knock the heat down in Acadiana.
