Allentown man killed in Lehigh County motorcycle crash

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania man is dead after police say he was riding a motorcycle and struck a car early Sunday morning.

The crash happened in the City of Allentown in Lehigh County around 3:20 a.m.

According to Allentown Police, officers were called to the 300 block of Tilghman Street where they say a motorcyclist, identified as a 25-year-old Allentown man, was found lying in the roadway, unresponsive.

Officers said he was headed east on Tilghman at a high rate of speed and struck a car which was making a U-turn.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said he was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg around 8 a.m.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said in a media release he is “not releasing his name at this time so that the family can grieve the tragic loss of their loved one privately.”
