Ocean Blue Software Launches ATSC 3.0 Inspector To Simplify Broadcast Stream Analysis For Smart TV Development

Ocean Blue Software has launched ATSC 3.0 Inspector, a tool designed to give engineering teams clearer visibility into ATSC 3.0 broadcast streams and streamline analysis, debugging and validation across the smart TV ecosystem.

As adoption of ATSC 3.0 grows, engineers face increasing complexity in interpreting and validating broadcast data. The ATSC 3.0 Inspector offers a structured, accessible view of streams, enabling faster issue identification and more efficient development workflows.

Key capabilities include detailed inspection of ATSC 3.0 broadcast components, clearer presentation of complex data structures, rapid identification of errors and inconsistencies, and improved debugging and validation efficiency. Ocean Blue Software said the features help reduce development time and minimize integration challenges.

The tool is aimed at smart TV manufacturers and OEMs validating device behavior, broadcasters and operators ensuring service integrity, and semiconductor and platform providers testing integrations and compliance.

“With ATSC 3.0, broadcast technology advances significantly, but stream analysis and validation become more complex,” said Andy Carr, Ocean Blue Software chief product officer. “ATSC 3.0 Inspector gives engineers clear, actionable insight to resolve issues faster and accelerate smart TV development.”

Ocean Blue Software said the product builds on more than 20 years of experience in smart TV and embedded software. The company provides consultancy, integration, testing and compliance solutions used in millions of devices worldwide.
