OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) — Three suspects are in custody following an armed robbery at an Oakland business on June 15, the Oakland Police Department said.
The alleged robbery occurred shortly before 10:15 p.m. on the 2400 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
“When officers arrived at the scene, the victim reported that two unknown suspects entered the establishment and threatened them with an object before stealing cigarettes and cash,” the Oakland Police Department said. “The suspects left the area in a vehicle driven by a third individual.”
About 15 minutes after the robbery occurred, OPD officers found the suspected getaway car near the intersection of 62nd Avenue and Eastlawn Street. Officers attempted to pull the car over, and the suspects led officers on a car chase that ended when the suspects crashed into a parked car on the 1400 block of 78th Ave.
“All three suspects exited the vehicle and ran on foot, with one seen armed with a firearm,” OPD said.
Officers ultimately arrested all three suspects and seized a gun in connection to the case. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact OPD.
