Good4Utah Road Tour: Hitting the water at Palisade State Park

STERLING, Utah (ABC4) — Palisade State Park is a gateway to adventure where you’re right around the corner from hundreds of miles of trails in the Manti-La Sal National Forest.

Greg Wayman, owner of Skyline Recreation for 23 years, says you’ll be able to see the most majestic views in the state with just a trek on the trails and opportunities for ATV rides for easy access.

Palisade State Park has other opportunities for visitors to make a splash, with a lake providing chances for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. Park Manager Brian Jensen says the best time of year to visit is either early spring or late fall.

For those wanting to stay in the park, it has 10 cabins and 100 campsites, close to where you can stay and play on the beach, in the water or on the greens at the 18-hole golf course. Framed by the palisade wall, which is what the park is named after, the beauty of the Sanpete Valley never disappoints on the links.
