Police discover loaded firearm after waking man sleeping in car at a Road Ranger
LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Loves Park Police arrested Mehmed Hromadzic, 40, for having a loaded firearm and cocaine, according to court records.

On May 15, around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a Road Ranger on East Riverside Boulevard for reports that a man was slumped over in a white Honda Pilot.

Authorities woke Hromadzic and determined he was under the influence of substances.

Officials found cocaine, metal and glass pipes, a loaded handgun and numerous power tools when they searched the SUV.

Hromadzic has been convicted of assault, property damage and family offenses in the past, court records show.

He is charged with possession of a firearm without a FOID, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon inside a vehicle without a FOID, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
