Just as fans come down from The Boys series finale, Prime Video has officially unveiled the first teaser for its new 1950s spin-off, Vought Rising.
This first full-length look at the early days of The Boys universe’s evil mega corporation arrived today and turns back the clock about 76 years to show us a not-much-younger Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Stormfront (Aya Cash), Bombsight (Mason Dye), and more. It’s the same footage a select few got to see at the premiere ahead of theatrical showings of The Boys finale earlier this week.
“One nation, under gods,” an official description for Vought Rising said. “Go back to where supes began in your first look at Vought Rising, coming 2027 to Prime.”

The Vought Rising teaser comes in at about a minute and a half long and mostly focuses on what seems to be a less jaded Soldier Boy. Stormfront and Bombsight, who both also showed up for the main The Boys series, are here, too, with the former seemingly set to play an especially important role.
As if there was ever any doubt, Vought Rising seems to pack in the same tongue-in-cheek blood and gore The Boys is known for. Its 1950s New York City tale also seems to be a bit more colorful than the modern-day supe story of the original show. This “first look” keeps plot details to a minimum, with the teaser trailer mostly sticking to quick shots of a few of the new superpowered faces viewers will get to meet when the show premieres next year.
Soldier Boy says he wants to be a hero. We’ll get to see how that will work out for him in 2027. While we wait for Prime Video to nail down a specific release date, you can read what we thought about The Boys finale following its premiere a few days ago. You can also see why showrunner Eric Kripke insisted that show’s Vought Rising nods were not intended to be a secret commercial for the spin-off.
