PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — A Ponchatoula man accused of setting fire to a mobile home with three people inside has been arrested.
According to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal, crews responded to a report of a fire at a mobile home in the 15000 block of East Hoffman Road on March 5.
Three people inside the mobile home reportedly escaped safely.
During the investigation, SFM officials said they determined that the fire started at the home’s exterior and was “intentionally set.”
SFM investigators said they later identified 42-year-old Joshua John Lucas as a suspect. He was arrested in June and faces charges of aggravated arson and violation of a protective order.
