‘Bloody’ realtor claimed Kentucky man attacked him, said he would die tonight

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Leitchfield man is facing charges after a realtor arrived at the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office bloody and bruised.

An arrest citation showed that, around 3 p.m. on June 18, a realtor arrived at a home on Muskie Road with Keith Rowe, 71, for a house showing.

Once inside, Rowe locked the door and punched the realtor in the head, causing the area near his ear to bleed and bruise, according to the sheriff’s office.

In the citation, the realtor told GCSO that Rowe claimed he would die tonight and forced him to go across the street and draw up a contract for $225,000. Rowe said he intended to get the house for his niece.

While across the street, Rowe pulled out a yellow knife from his pocket and told the realtor he would kill him after he finished the contract, the sheriff’s office noted. Rowe also allegedly said no one would find the realtor because no one knew where he was.

The citation claimed that, while the contract was being written up, Rowe reportedly took the realtor’s phone and was trying to open it to go through it. The realtor asked Rowe not to destroy his phone and said he could have access to anything he wanted inside it.

Once Rowe sat down, the realtor said he was able to quickly escape out the front door, authorities said. He then fled to the sheriff’s office and claimed he had been attacked.

Rowe was convinced by his family to come to the sheriff’s office to speak with deputies there, where he corroborated most of the realtor’s testimony, according to the citation.
