Restaurant Week New Orleans 2025: Gabrielle

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — At our last stop on the New Orleans Restaurant Week 2025 tour, WGNO heads to a place described as “neighborhood fine dining.” Gabrielle is located in the Treme neighborhood and is owned by Chef Greg Sonnier.

As a man with many years of cooking behind his belt, he believes that Restaurant Week is the perfect time to start making food seasonal to the summer.

His Restaurant Week menu won’t disappoint.

“Our Restaurant Week gumbo is a smoked guinea hen chicken sausage made with a dark roux cooked over several days and served with a little bit of popcorn rice,” says Sonnier. “One of our entrees we’re doing is a baked Chilean Seabass crusted on top with an oyster rockefeller spinach dressing, fried oysters surrounded by a roasted red pepper sauce. Our dessert course is a chocolate brownie cake. [There’s] a little bit of chocolate underneath the brownie cake and then peppermint ice cream.”

Sonnier’s favorite dish is his gumbo. “It’s always really spectacular, probably our number one seller!”

One of the big draws to Gabrielle Restaurant is its decor. Along the walls, you’ll find every Jazz Fest poster that has ever been authored.

“So, when you walk in our dining room, it really is laid back,” said Sonnier. “People can come in, walk in right off the street and say, ‘hey let’s have good dinner.’ That’s what it is.”

Gabrielle Restaurant is open for dinner. The Restaurant Week menu is $56 per person.
