Netcompany to sponsor and transform INEOS
The announcement will see the INEOS team receive a bigger budget, more closely aligning them with other teams such as Sky and UAE Team Emirates-XRG.
The announcement is the third in a week, and the team has also announced new partnerships. It signed a three-year deal with WTW, a leading global advisory, broking , and solutions company. That followed the announcement that Café de Colombia is returning to the sport as the team’s Official Coffee Partner.
André Rogaczewski, CEO and Co-founder of Netcompany, said, “As a leading European AI technology company fighting for Europe’s digital sovereignty, joining forces with the most successful cycling team of the modern era and the UK’s only WorldTour team is a unique opportunity.
“This partnership supports our strategic ambition to accelerate growth across Europe by demonstrating the impact of cutting-edge technology and AI at the highest level of sport. Together, we aim to enable smarter decision-making, strengthen competitive advantage, and help the team in winning the Tour de France again.”
Netcompany is bringing sponsorship to the Cycling team and providing access to PULSE, its AI-driven digital platform. PULSE is an orchestration platform for in-sync, collaborative decision-making across your enterprise. It enables organisations to connect, collect, and analyse data across complex ecosystems, enabling real-time decision-making.
Most recently, Netcompany has partnered wth Go-Ahead Norway to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making in rail operations. PULSE will help Go-Ahead improve maintenance, manage disruption, and enhance customer information. The platform is also being used at both Heathrow and Munich Airports.
The Giro D’Italia is due to start on the 8th May 2026. Netcompany will deploy PULSE for the INEOS team. The partnership includes licenses for INEOS and is also the first time that it has deployed the platform in an elite sport. Netcompany will work with INEOS to co-develop a performance-led model designed to shape the future of optimisation.
Netcompany will embed PULSE across the team, collating data from individual riders, races and conditions. It will distil the data and support real-time decision-making to maximise performance impact.
The Giro d’Italia is the first step of the 2026 season in which INEOS is aiming to win an unprecedented eighth Tour de France. INEOS last won the Tour De France in 2019 with Colombian rider Egan Bernal. As Team Sky, it won the race six more times in the 2010’s.
Geraint Thomas, Director of Racing, said, “I’ve seen first-hand how much the sport has evolved. But what hasn’t changed is the importance of doing all the basics well and paying attention to the tiny details. That’s what ultimately leads to success on the road.
“Netcompany’s PULSE AI platform will help with that across every part of the team. It gives us confidence in the systems and in the quality of the data and information we’re working from in real time, so everyone is aligned and working off the same hymn sheet.
“From my side, it’s about creating an environment where riders can focus fully on racing, while the team around them is connected and making the best possible decisions. If we get that balance right, it will make a real difference when it counts.”
For Netcompany, this is the latest win in the UK market, probably the largest IT market in Europe. It follows deals that include HMRC, TSS, and Heathrow Airport. The Danish company is now well embedded in the UK. This partnership will see it getting a huge brand awareness boost across Europe, and further afield, with an estimated audience of over 3.5 billion viewers.
The partnership is also the firm’s first foray into Elite sport. Success, especially in the Tour de France, will mean that Netcompany, and especially PULSE, will have played a part in that success.
For INEOS, this is a great partnership. Not only has it gained a title sponsor, giving it the budget to match rivals, but it also provides technology that will help it succeed. It is, however, the Cycling team that leverages a modern technology platform for an advantage. Team Visma|Leas a Bike announced a partnership with Mistal AI to collaborate on selected performance-driven projects. It is unlikely to be the only one.
