BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — March 17, 2026
Progressive Indiana Network has updated its 2026 virtual Democratic primary debate schedule, moving its 6th Congressional District debate to April 23 and adding a new debate in Indiana House District 13 on April 16, according to an announcement from the Bloomington-based outlet.
The 6th Congressional District debate, previously scheduled for March 26, is now set for Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern. Progressive Indiana Network said the debate will include Democratic candidates William Kory Amyx, Nick Baker, David Boyd and Cinde Wirth. Ballotpedia also lists Amyx, Nicholas Baker, David Boyd and Cynthia Wirth in the Democratic primary for Indiana’s 6th District.
The organization also announced a new House District 13 debate for Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. Eastern. Progressive Indiana Network said participating candidates are Ben Davis and Brenne Geswein, while Ed Moyer Jr. has been invited and had not yet confirmed participation.
The updated schedule is part of a broader series of virtual Democratic primary debates Progressive Indiana Network announced earlier this month. In its original March 7 announcement, the group said it planned debates in state legislative and congressional races across Indiana ahead of the May 5 primary election.
Other debates previously announced by the group include contests in Senate District 15, House districts 70, 58 and 48, and congressional districts 4, 8 and 9. The Congressional District 9 debate is particularly relevant to Bloomington-area readers because that district includes Monroe County.
Progressive Indiana Network said all debates will be streamed live on its website and simulcast on its Facebook and YouTube channels. The group is also asking Hoosiers to submit questions for moderators to ask candidates.
