Rocking Horse Ranch infant death arrest
Authorities say they’ve arrested a suspect in connection to the death of an infant last year at Rocking Horse Ranch in Savage.
On Sept. 22, an employee of the day care called 911 to report an infant who wasn’t breathing. The child, identified as Harvey Muklebust, was pronounced dead just days short of his first birthday.
The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families suspended Rocking Horse Ranch’s license immediately after the death.

Search warrants indicate Harvey’s death was being investigated as suspicious in nature due to his lack of known health issues. Investigators had also learned of two similar incidents involving another child at Rocking Horse Ranch spitting up a bloodlike substance.
As previously reported, the same employee was the last point of contact in all three incidents.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the Savage Police Department had not released the name of the arrested suspect. Officials are expected to share more details during a news conference on Wednesday.
