Medical Examiner: child killed by meningitis

The baby was identified on Monday as Gideon Peter Mwangi, and an autopsy confirmed he died on Friday from the disease, the press release said.

While responding to the 911 call, investigators found that the home was “extremely dirty and cluttered.” They also found black mold in numerous locations in the home.

The home has since been deemed unlivable by health officials.

No arrests have been made in connection with Mwangi’s death thus far, according to authorities.
