The Twin Lakes Playhouse will make history Jan. 30, 2026, with the world premiere of “The Villain of Pine Hollow,” the first original production ever staged at the theater in its 55-year history.
The production was written and directed by longtime Playhouse member Mike Horberg, with Jenny Horberg serving as assistant director. Curtain time for opening night is set for 7.
KTLO News will be on site for the premiere with a live radio remote. Opening-night festivities will include hors d’oeuvres, wine and refreshments, along with opportunities for patrons to visit with the cast and production team before the show.
Set in the fictional town of Pine Hollow, the play centers on a dinner party at a long-abandoned saloon that quickly descends into chaos. At the heart of the story is Reginald Blackthorn, a scheming chef whose actions drive a mix of mystery, humor and drama. Opposing him is Maisie Sinclair, a young woman whose hidden secret threatens to change the course of the night.
The cast includes Josh Donner, Cheyenne Wachtel, Sullivan Dye, Olivia Wolfe, Jeff Pyzocha, Steve Fox, Joanne Helms, Vance Jones, Patty Kotlicky, Nik Minard and Symphony Fox.
Tickets for the premiere are $15 and are available online at tlpmh.org or by calling 870-424-0444. Additional performances are scheduled Jan. 31 through Feb. 15, with shows at 7 on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 on Sundays.
