Tuesday temperatures: Temperatures on Tuesday will not be as cold in the morning as lows will settle into the low to middle 40s. Daytime highs will be much warmer as we climb above normal into the mid to upper 70s.
Sunshine to stick around: The reason for the dry weather is a large upper-level ridge that is building over us from the west. In addition to warming us up, the ridge will keep us dry. Futurecast shows a clear sky once again on Monday night. Expect a mostly sunny sky on Tuesday, a clear to partly cloudy sky on Tuesday night, and plenty of sunshine on Wednesday.
Long-range outlook: Our next chance of rain could arrive sometime this weekend, probably on Saturday night as a cold front moves through the area. Temperatures ahead of this front will be warm with highs during the last half of the work week in the low to middle 80s. Overnight lows will return to the 50s. We will return to the 70s early next week as we begin another week-long period of dry weather. Overnight lows next week will begin in the 40s.
