Hit-and-run driver injures bicyclist in Picayune: police

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WHLT) – Picayune police said they are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a bicyclist was injured.

The incident occurred on Highway 11 North near Carter Street around 10:00 p.m. on October 31, 2025.

According to police, the bicyclist was struck from behind by a dark, gray Nissan car. The victim was taken to Forrest General Hospital with serious injuries.

After striking the victim, police said the suspect’s vehicle turned right onto Carter Street and fled the area. They said the vehicle would have heavy front-end damage and may be missing a plastic hub cap, a side mirror and the Nissan grill emblem.
