Bicyclist killed after being hit by vehicle in Tulare

TULARE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle Friday evening in Tulare, the Tulare Police Department said.

Officers say they received a report of a collision involving a bicyclist at Cross Avenue and Coelho Street just after 6 p.m.

On scene, officers say they found the bicyclist, a 58-year-old Visalia man, suffering from several injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where police say he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old woman, remained on scene.

The name of the victim and the cause of the collision have not been released, but updates will be provided as they become available.
