Jackson bicyclist dies weeks after hit-and-run

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a bicyclist, who was injured during a hit-and-run, has died from his injuries.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, Henry Clay Stokes, 60, died on Sunday, February 2. He was injured on January 18, 2024, while riding his bicycle on Interstate 55 North near Briarwood Drive.

Brown said the driver of the vehicle did not stop when the incident occurred. Police do not have the identification of the driver of a description of a vehicle.
