Starting Sunday, October 12, Sam’s Club is expanding its hours of operation on Sunday to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Steven Zapata, the director of communications for Sam’s Club, confirmed in an email to Nexstar. The members-only retail stores were previously only open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The new Sunday hours, however, include an “early shopping hour” for Plus members only, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. (Sam’s Club currently has two tiers of membership: Club, for $50 per year, and Plus, for $110.) All other shoppers will be welcomed to the store at 9 a.m. on Sundays.
Zapata also noted that curbside pickup will begin at 7 a.m. on Sundays, while Sam’s Club Cafés will remain open until 8 p.m. Holiday hours on Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day and New Year’s Eve will also be extended until 8 p.m. this year, he said.
“We made this decision because of overwhelming feedback from our members — and right in time for the busy holiday season when convenience matters most,” said Zapata.
Sam’s Club’s new Sunday schedule will also go into effect a little over a month after Costco officially changed its operating hours: The Washington-based retailer’s stores now open on most days at 9 a.m. for Executive members only, before all other members are allowed to shop.
