As part of the investigation, a woman told officers that a family member, later identified as Currin, was found with a 12-year-old girl while he was naked from the waist down. The 12-year-old later told police that Currin molested her.
When Currin was found with the girl, the woman reportedly told Currin that she was going to call the police, but Currin grabbed her phone and “refused to give it back.”
According to court documents, Currin’s sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 25.
