ISP: Muncie woman arrested for possessing child sex abuse material

MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie woman was recently arrested after she allegedly had files of child sex abuse material.

According to a news release from the Indiana State Police, 23-year-old Hannah Morgan Nash was preliminarily charged with:

  • One count of possession of child sex abuse material depicting a child less than 12 years of age, a Level 5 felony
  • One count of possession of child sex abuse material, a Level 6 felony.

On Thursday evening, members of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children task force served a search warrant at a home in Muncie following an investigation into Nash and the alleged possession of child sex abuse material.

This comes after the task force reportedly received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. According to the release, the tip was made about “a particular internet account (was) likely in possession of child sex abuse material.”

During an investigation into the account, the task force identified Nash as the alleged owner of the account. Nash was arrested and subsequently taken to the Delaware County Jail.
