(KRON) — A preliminary 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck the East Bay early Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 2 miles east-southeast of Berkeley along the Hayward Fault.
The tremblor occurred at 3:55 a.m., USGS said. Most people reported feeling the shaking between Oakland and Richmond, according to USGS’s “Did You Feel It?” survey.
There were no initial reports of damage or injuries.
