17-year-old arrested for Jackson shooting that killed 1, injured 2

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a 17-year-old was arrested in connection to a shooting that killed a 19-year-old and injured two women.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said officers were assisted by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office and Florence police in the arrest of Kamran Boclair, 17, on October 1, 2025.

Boclair was arrested at a home in Rankin County. He was charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

The shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Bailey Avenue on September 30, 2025.

According to Jackson police, the deceased victim was identified as Joshua Davis, 19. They said two women, ages 21 and 50, were injured in the shooting. They were both transported to a local hospital for treatment.
