Mountain Home sees modest sales tax growth in September


Mountain Home reported modest increases in several sales tax categories for the month of September.
The city’s total sales tax collections reached $633,780, up $14,128, or 2.3%, from $619,651 in the same month last year. Year-to-date collections are up $32,548, a 0.6% increase.





Mountain Home’s share of county sales tax totaled $309,133 for the month, a 2% increase from $302,960 last year. Year-to-date, the city’s county sales tax portion is up $38,615, or 1.6%.

Public Safety Sales Tax collections reached $237,667, up 2.3% from $232,369 in September 2024. Year-to-date, the public safety tax is up $12,205, a 0.6% increase.

Park Improvement Sales Tax brought in $316,889, exceeding the monthly 2025 bond payment requirement of $218,173 by $98,715. Parks Operations Sales Tax totaled $158,444 for the month.
