By rssfeeds-admin SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Rape allegations against a local man led Shreveport police to arrest him for extortion related to the sexual assault allegations.
SPD said they responded to a reported sexual assault on August 30, 2025, around 11:30 a.m. at a local hospital, where they spoke with a victim. Through their investigation, police identified Matthew Sandifer as a suspect. The investigation into the second-degree rape allegations is ongoing. However, detectives allege that Sandifer sent threatening messages to the victim “in an attempt to coerce the victim to drop the charges”.
