COLFAX, La. (WNTZ) – Grant High School will host the Grant Forestry Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 18, at Stuart Lake Recreation Area.
The competition, organized by the school’s Future Farmers of America chapter, will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is expected to draw student teams from across the region.
Awards will be presented to the top four teams, along with individual honors in categories such as tree identification, map interpretation, timber cruising, compass and pacing, forestry equipment, disorders, and wood products identification.
