111,000 mini-fridges sold nationwide recalled due to fire danger

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal officials say thousands of mini-fridges sold nationwide are being recalled as they pose a fire danger to consumers.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on Sept. 11 that Epoca International is recalling 111,000 of its “Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridge” products distributed nationwide as they may overheat and catch on fire. The mini-fridges were distributed through retailers like Amazon, Ross and Walmart from November 2022 through to July 2025.

Epoca International has received 27 reports of the mini fridge overheating and starting fires. While no injuries have been reported, the fires have caused property damage, according to the CPSC.

The CPSC reports the recalled mini-fridges were sold in four-liter models in pink, white, aqua and hot pink colors along with 10-liter models that were pink and white. You can find a label with the model and serial numbers on the back of the four-liter models and on the bottom of the 10-liter models.

Consumers are encouraged to stop using the recalled mini-fridges immediately and apply for a refund. People will need to follow the below instructions to receive a refund.

“To receive a refund, consumers will have to fill out the online form and submit three photographs; one should be the refrigerator’s door with the word “RECALL” written on it using a permanent marker, the second photograph should be of the label on the unit showing the model number and serial number and the last photograph should be of the cut, unplugged cord. Consumers should discard the recalled fridge according to local and state regulations.”
