Unsettled weather is moving out, but lingering moisture could mean a few more showers for some
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4) – Happy Sunday, Utah! Things are drying out today as high pressure builds in from the south, pushing the unsettled weather to the north. Lingering moisture could spell a few isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north, but mostly in the Uintas and hugging the Utah-Idaho state line. Apart from that, we’re looking at partly cloudy skies in the north and mostly sunny in the south. Most valleys will see temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, higher terrain will be in the mid 70s to low 80s, and hot spots will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s.

Temperatures will warm slightly on Monday, but they’ll still be in the same range as Sunday’s daytime highs. Monday will feature mostly sunny weather across the state with breezy conditions. It’ll be a pleasant start to the workweek. On Tuesday and Wednesday we’ll see increasing cloud coverage and windy conditions as a large system approaches to our west. It will throw moisture our way, but there’s only a slight chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday.

By Thursday the system will have dug deeper, ushering in more moisture and bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms to northern Utah, but we can’t rule it out in central and southern Utah either. Isolated activity holds on into Friday before clearing out for next weekend.
