IMPD: 2 young children found on Indy’s east side

UPDATE: Indianapolis police confirmed around 3 p.m. Wednesday that the missing children had been found safely.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are asking for the public’s help in finding two young children who have disappeared from the city’s east side.

IMPD posted on social media Wednesday afternoon that officers are investigating the disappearance of two children:

• Missing 3-year-old
  • 2’0″, 30 pounds
  • Wavy brown hair with brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing red shorts and a black shirt
• Missing 10-year-old
  • 4’9″, 70 pounds
  • Brown hair with brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing a black shirt and green sweatpants

IMPD said that the two children were last seen around 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of N. Colorado Avenue on Indy’s east side. No other information was provided.
