BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Napoleonville woman accused of filing a false report regarding an alleged car theft was arrested.Tarao Ayouke Martinez

Tarao Ayouke Martinez, 39, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle – filing a false affidavit to support an alleged theft of a motor vehicle.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office said a deputy responded to Georgette Street regarding the alleged theft of a 2011 Infiniti. Detectives determined that Martinez’s claims that her car was stolen were false.
Martinez was arrested on Aug. 14 in Thibodaux and transported to the custody of Assumption Parish authorities on Aug. 15. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
