SCSO said narcotics officers and patrol deputies canvassed the car and apartment of a man identified as David Groth, who was detained during the search warrant.
“K-9 Duke responded to the location and located methamphetamine in both Groth’s vehicle and apartment,” said the sheriff’s office. “In total, Groth was found to have almost three and a half pounds of methamphetamine.”
The sheriff’s office confirmed that Groth was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and committing a drug-related offense with two prior drug convictions.
SCCO said he was booked into the county jail where he is being held without bail.
