Suspect identified in death of LaGrange woman that was mauled by dogs

LAGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department have issued an arrest warrant in connection to a dog attack that killed a LaGrange woman.

Police say suspect, who has been identified as Derrick Parker, has active arrest warrants for involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and dog running at large.

Although detectives have checked several known locations throughout LaGrange and North Georgia, Parker’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

On July 11, police responded to calls of a person being attacked by two large dogs. The victim, identified as Theresa Patterson, was transported to West Georgia Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.

Police ask that anyone with information on Parker’s whereabouts call the LaGrange Police Department, Troup County CrimeStoppers or submit a tip anonymously through Tip411.
