ITV is undertaking a multi-year program to simplify its supply chain to stay competitive, adapt to evolving market demands and meet changing consumer expectations. The project also aims to support different content-agnostic ingestion and delivery combinations, while enhancing operational flexibility at scale and managing costs and efficiency.
In this context, Fincons supports ITV leveraging the full potential of SDVI’s Rally platform, a media supply chain management system already adopted by ITV for its global partnerships arm of ITV Studios.
“It is great to be working with such a world class media organisation as ITV,” said Francesco Moretti, Fincons deputy CEO and CEO international. “We’re really proud to take a key role in this important project and provide our capabilities honed over years of support to international broadcasters in the U.K., Ireland, US, Italy, France and Switzerland. We are strongly committed to working together for the evolution of ITV’s new cloud-based media supply chain.”
The challenging timelines for completing this programme led ITV to seek a partner capable of accelerating the process. Paul Kane, ITV director of technology, content supply & distribution, said: “We were looking for a company that wouldn’t just do things for us, but with us, integrating into our working group as a unified team and facing the challenges of this transformation project together. With Fincons, we found a proposal that aligned with our goals and the deep knowledge we were looking for.”
The valuable partnership with SDVI, along with Fincons’ extensive experience in integrating this vendor’s solutions, was a decisive factor in selecting Fincons for this journey, ITV said. “Complementing these strengths is Fincons’ hybrid delivery model, which combines on-site resources with professionals working remotely from the Group’s Italian Delivery Center, ensuring high levels of competitiveness, flexibility, and quality.”
