According to the South Beloit Police Department, around 12:33 a.m. on Saturday, July 5th, officers attempted to stop Michael Joseph, 21, on Shirland Avenue, as he sped through at speed above 60 mph.
Joseph reportedly fled from officers and into Beloit, where he lost control of the vehicle and crashed near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and White Avenue.
Officers took both Joseph and his passenger to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Two illegal and partially 3D printed guns were found in the car, one equipped with a 3D printed “switch” device to enable it to fire like a machine gun.
Joseph was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded firearm without a firearm owner’s identification, unlawful possession of a firearm without a serial number, reckless driving, aggravated fleeing to elude, and driving without a license.
He was booked into the Rock County Jail in Wisconsin for what police said were related, but separate charges.
