One killed, two injured in Simpson County crash

SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was killed and two others were injured during at two-vehicle crash in Simpson County.

The crash occurred on Highway 28 just before 12:30 p.m. on July 6.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling east on the highway when it collided with a 2020 Ford F-150.

Troopers said the driver of the Chevrolet, 22-year-old Jadarrian Burton, of Prentiss, died at the scene. The two occupants of the Ford were transported to Magee General Hospital in Magee with unknown injuries.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
