Crunchyroll Announces Massive Ad-Free Streaming Deal for Ani-May
Crunchyroll just announced a massive streaming deal as part of the site’s Ani-May celebrations. From now until May 21, you can sign up for three months of Crunchyroll’s Fan plan for $1.99/month or three months of the Mega Fan plan for $2.99/month.
I break down the differences between those plans below here, but in either case you’re getting three months of ad-free access to a massive library of anime for under $10. Even better, the discount is available to both new and returning subscribers.
After the most recent price increase, Crunchyroll Fan plans normally costs $9.99/month, while Mega Fan normally ups that price to $13.99/month. Both plans are ad-free and let you access Crunchyroll’s entire library of anime, so the main differences are a bit funky:
The last time we saw a Crunchyroll streaming deal was Cyber Monday, when users could grab two months of the streaming service for $2.99/month. This deal increases the discount duration to three months while offering an even cheaper option. In other words, this is most likely the best deal we’ll see on Crunchyroll in 2026.
The streaming deal is also just one part of Crunchyroll’s Ani-May celebrations. The Crunchyroll Store will be featuring big discounts all month long, and is currently offering a flat 26% off site-wide. Fun fact: the Crunchyroll member discounts stack on top of that deal.
One of the main events of the month is the 10th annual Anime Awards, which will be hosted through Crunchyroll on May 23. If you grab this streaming deal, you’ll be all set to tune into the awards, which happen to air right after the discount period ends. While fan voting has already ended, you can check out the full list of nominees here.
Crunchyroll is one of the best anime streaming services out there, getting you access to every episode of classics like One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. You can actually check out the streamer’s full library before signing up for an account.
Like any streaming service, you’ll get new releases on a pretty consistent basis. Recent additions to the service include the Chainsaw Man movie, which we were big fans of in our review, and a special epilogue episode for My Hero Academia.
Otherwise, Crunchyroll is pretty much your best bet for live anime simulcasts. Highlights airing right now Witch Hat Atelier, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, and the return of One Piece with the Elbaph arc.
