Restaurant Week New Orleans 2025: Katie’s

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — WGNO’s feature of various restaurants during New Orleans Restaurant Week continues with a spot nestled in the heart of Mid-City that’s appeared on several cooking shows. Right off Iberville Street, you’ll find Katie’s.

Chef Scot Craig has been the owner of the establishment for the last few decades. He describes the spot as the “quintessential New Orleans neighborhood restaurant.” Restaurant Week is a great time to bring in business during what’s a particularly slow time of year. So, what’s on the menu?

“We’re doing our shrimp Bucktown alfredo pasta, which is a neatly, beautifully blackened shrimp with our spicy Bucktown pasta, which also includes roasted garlic and spinach,” said Craig.
“We’re doing our chicken quesadilla, which is a blackened chicken breast with peppers and onions and two cheeses, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. We’re also doing a vegetarian and option of that with mushrooms and eggplant and peppers and onions. We’re also doing our Remmy Stack, which are fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp on top with our remoulade sauce. We have our Boudreaux Pizza, which is famous throughout the United States because it’s been on ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ and every other show you can imagine. We have our White Chocolate Bread Pudding, which is award-winning it’s just an incredible experience.”

Quite a few items to choose from! Now that the weather is starting to heat up, Craig has implemented what he calls “Cajun AC” in the patio space.

“We’ve got our Cajun AC out there, that chills the water coming out of our misters. And it can be very comfortable outside,” said Craig.
