NEW ORELANS (WGNO) — When a New Orleans artist takes time to show you his gallery of greatest hits, you get to see what he sees, and that is freedom.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood wants you to meet the artist who calls himself, Ceaux.
Ceaux is short for Courtney Buckley.
“The freedom finds me. I kind of step out of the way to find what the piece means so I just allow it to happen,” said Ceaux.
You can see what he creates at Axion Art Gallery.
Ceaux is a 41-year-old father of three.
Whenever he picks up his paintbrush, he can pick a color, any color.
But there’s something bright, brilliant and deep when it’s red.
When it’s the combination of the color red and the artist Ceaux, New Orleans gets a brand-new masterpiece.
You can see more of Ceaux and his work on the WGNO Juneteenth special on Thursday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m.
