HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — A juvenile bicyclist was hospitalized a crash in Hendricks County Sunday evening.
Public police reporting systems indicate Hendricks County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 600 North and Eagle Crossing Boulevard around 5 p.m. to investigate a crash.
During their investigation, sheriff’s deputies confirmed a male juvenile on a bicycle was involved in the crash. Police believe the juvenile was attempting to cross County Road 600 North near Eagle Crossing Boulevard when a driver struck him.
Per HCSO, the juvenile was transported from the scene to a local hospital. As of 8:50 p.m., the sheriff’s office did not have any updates to provide on the juvenile’s medical condition.
Deputies reported that the driver who allegedly struck the juvenile remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with investigators. The sheriff’s office is still actively investigating the crash.
