BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The LSU FACES Lab is working to identify skeletal remains found in a canal behind a business on Airline Highway on Wednesday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said the bones were found off Airline between Evangeline Street and Prescott Road. LSU FACES Lab was called to the scene and confirmed it was human remains.
BRPD said the lab will determine if the bones belong to a man, woman, or child. Further details about the investigation or the remains were not immediately available.
