According to the ASP crash report, the accident happened when Edelen’s vehicle crossed the centerline of the highway and struck another vehicle head on. Edelen’s vehicle came to rest on the highway. The other vehicle left the roadway and went down an embankment. The report did not indicate there were any injuries to anyone in the other vehicle.
The crash happened near the intersection of Highway 62/412 and Sharp Court in rural Boone County, just east of the Harmon fire house. Traffic was backed up for several hours due to the accident which occurred at 3:00 Monday afternoon.
