NAB Show: XGN To Launch 5G Broadcast Exciter

XGen Network (XGN), a provider of 5G Broadcast solutions, will debut its 5G Broadcast Exciter at the NAB Show (April 6-9, Las Vegas Convention Center). XGN is working on public safety alerts and first responder solutions while delivering linear program channels and radio stations, all for worldwide deployment.

5G Broadcast is a new broadcast standard delivering a direct-to-mobile platform to smartphones operating independently of traditional services such as cellular networks (i.e., no simcard required), satellite, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Deploying 5G Broadcast involves replacing a station’s current exciter with XGN’s 5G Broadcast Exciter while retaining most existing OFDM transmitters and antenna. infrastructure.
