Volunteers needed for Operation Clean Sweep by Keep Bossier Beautiful
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)Keep Bossier Beautiful is calling on volunteers for Operation Clean Sweep, a parish-wide cleanup effort scheduled for Saturday, March 22nd.

This annual event, part of the Great American Cleanup, aims to beautify every corner of Bossier Parish with the help of residents, organizations, and businesses.

“We are excited to bring the community together once again to make a difference,” said Lynn Bryan, executive director of Keep Bossier Beautiful. “We encourage everyone to clean up where they are—whether in South Bossier, Haughton, Benton, or Bossier City.”

Volunteers who sign up will receive supplies, including t-shirts, grabbers, and trash bags. Participants are encouraged to collect litter in their local areas and drop it off at the Viking Drive Substation (2510 Viking Drive) for disposal.

The event is supported by the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, Bossier Parish Police Jury, and the Mayor’s Office of Bossier City, along with sponsors such as Expand Energy, Republic Services, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, Louisiana Seafood, and Benny Keith.

After the cleanup, volunteers will have a celebratory lunch at 11:30 a.m. featuring boiled crawfish from Shane’s Seafood & BBQ and burgers prepared by the Rotary Club and Advanced Air team.
