The taste of spring temps continues: The weekend ended on Sunday with rain and chilly temperatures. Highs on Sunday struggled to make it to 50 degrees. Thanks to the return of some sunshine. We’ve warmed into the 70s on Monday and will get even warmer on Tuesday. Temperatures Tuesday morning will be rather chilly as we will begin with lows in the low to middle 40s. Daytime highs on Tuesday will warm into the mid to upper 70s.
Sunshine, then a few rounds of storms: Futurecast shows that we will see another day of dry weather on Tuesday. Expect a clear sky on Monday night. The sunshine will return on Tuesday with a breezy south to southwesterly wind. We will likely stay mostly clear on Tuesday night and begin Wednesday with some sunshine. Our next disturbance will approach the area on Wednesday afternoon and will bring a quick round of scattered thunderstorms. Severe weather will be possible with large hail possibly being our most widespread threat. I will discuss more details on this disturbance and a second, even stronger system on Friday in my Weather Worries article later this afternoon and during my live update this evening at 8:30 pm.
10-day Forecast: Your 10-day forecast shows two disturbances that are on the way this week with a threat of strong to severe storms. The first will arrive on Wednesday, and the second on Friday, and Friday night. Temperatures this week will stay very warm for this time of year with highs most days in the low to middle 80s. We will return to the 70s this weekend as sunshine returns and then warm back into the 80s next week with another chance for scattered storms by the end of the period. We won’t have any worries with freezing temperatures during the next few weeks as lows will mainly be in the 40s and 50s with a few nights seeing lows in the 60s!
