Mardi Gras parades in Acadiana rescheduled due to weather
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – It’s Carnival season in Acadiana but due to the predicted rainy and windy weather parades are being rescheduled. Here’s a list of parades and events around Acadiana that have changed. This will be updated as more dates and times are finalized. If you know of any events not on this list, please send them to news@klfy.com.

LAFAYETTE PARISH

The King Gabriel parade will now begin at 9:00 AM, followed immediately by the Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival parade. The Independent Parade is cancelled.

Festival Carnival at Cajun Field has been cancelled for Tuesday.

ACADIA PARISH

Crowley – Tuesday, March 4 – Carnivale D’Acadie Mardi Gras Parade – Downtown Crowley. 10 a.m. There is a new parade route. All bands will be playing indoors at the Rice Festival Building.

VERMILION PARISH

KAPLAN – Tuesday, March 4 – The Krewe Chic A La Pie parade will now roll down Cushing Avenue at 11 am.

ST. MARY PARISH

FRANKLIN – Tuesday, March 4 – Franklin Mardi Gras Parade – will now start at 10am. It will be on the same route.
