NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — With the influx of tourists on Bourbon Street for Carnival, the city is moving the memorial to the victims of the New Year’s Day Bourbon Street terrorist attack.
Officials say It’s going to be moved to the Presbytère next to St. Louis Cathedral.
According to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, the victims’ families are aware of the move. Additionally, the city will place a marker at the site of the attack.
